Learn about the man behind Inner Works.
Arne Gronningsater established Inner Works Construction Services in 1999 in New Haven, Connecticut. For six years, he successfully managed two public works projects: one for the city of New Haven (alongside C.J. Fucci Construction, Inc.) and one for the city of Bridgeport (alongside Encon, Inc.). He also engaged in numerous high-end residential renovation projects during this time.
“Arne is a proactive builder,” says Phil Bernstein of New Haven, Connecticut. “He takes the time to listen to the problem presented, develops solutions, and then works carefully with selected approaches and deliberate speed. His deep knowledge of construction, eye for detail, and ability to orchestrate the process yields strong results and good buildings.”
At Inner Works, we believe that that most efficient and beneficial way to complete a home improvement project is to establish a spirit of cooperation and communication between the owners, designers, and builders. We strive to achieve this level of communication every time. We always provide professional home construction, kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, and general repair services.
Robert Beech’s experience speaks to this: “Having your home remodeled while you are still living in it presents a number of challenges, not least of which is the fact that there are strangers in your home for a period of several weeks. Over those weeks, Arne and his crew were unfailingly considerate and made what could have been an extremely difficult time go by quickly and easily. I would recommend them to anyone.”
Mr. Gronningsater’s family moved to Somerville, MA in 2006, at which point he worked as a supervisor for Thoughtforms Corp, Inc., for two years. After he had gained some familiarity with the local housing market, he reopened Inner Works Construction Services. Mr. Gronningsater most recently moved with his family to Portland, ME in support of his wife’s career, and is now providing general contracting and home improvement services to the greater Portland/southern Maine area.
